‍‍Procedure note: Abscess incision and drainage 
‍‍﻿‍Risks discussed: pain, bleeding, scar, nerve damage.﻿ Consent obtained.
‍‍Area prepped and draped, cleaned with alcohol.
‍‍Local anesthesia using ‍ ﻿cc lidocaine ‍1% with epi﻿. 
‍‍Incision made, ‍small﻿ amount of purulent material expressed.
‍‍Abscess explored and pockets opened. ‍Irrigation with saline.﻿ 
‍‍﻿‍Gauze wick inserted.﻿ Dressing applied.
‍‍Bleeding minimal, no complications. 
‍‍Return precautions given.
