Trigger Finger Injection

‍‍Steroid injection of a trigger finger:
‍‍- Site: finger #‍﻿ ‍﻿﻿
‍‍- Consent: obtained after discussion on the benefits and risks, including pain, bleeding, infection, tendon tear
‍‍- Preparation: ‍﻿﻿
‍‍- Medication: ‍﻿  mg/cc  cc and 1% lidocaine without epi  cc
‍‍- Procedure: injection into the sheath of the affected tendon via ‍﻿ approach
‍‍- Complications: , procedure ﻿
‍‍- Instructions: rest for 48 hours, ice, analgesics, return if significant pain, redness, swelling, or fever
