DDx: strep pharyngitis, viral pharyngitis, tonsillitis, infectious mononucleosis, peritonsillar abscess, retropharyngeal abscess, esophagitis, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, foreign body in the throat, GERD, throat cancer, thyroiditis, epiglottitis, herpangina, diphtheria, HIV acute infection, thrush, allergic rhinitis, postnasal drip, acute sinusitis
