Steroid Injection

Steroid injection of the ‍rightleft ‍shoulderknee:

- Consent: obstained after risks and benefits discussed, including pain, bleeding, infection

- Preparation: ‍alcoholchlorhexidinbetadine

- Medication: ‍Depo-MedrolKenalog ‍4080mg/cc ‍1cc and ‍1% lidocaine without épinormal saline ‍2 cc

- Procedure: injection into affected area

- Complications: ‍none, procedure ‍well toleratedfairly well toleratedpoorly toleratedinterrupted

- Instructions: rest for 48 hours, ice, analgesics, return if significant pain, redness, swelling, or fever
