Shoulder Injection

Steroid injection of the ‍rightleft shoulder:

- Consent: obstained after risks and benefits discussed, including pain, bleeding, infection, tendon tear

- Preparation: ‍alcoholchlorhexidinbetadine

- Medication: ‍Depo-MedrolKenalog ‍4080 mg/cc ‍0.250.500.7511.52 cc and 1% lidocaine without epi ‍0.250.500.7511.5234 cc

- Procedure: injection ‍subacromialglenohumeral with ‍lateralposterior approach

- Complications: ‍none, procedure ‍well toleratedfairly well toleratedpoorly toleratedinterrupted

- Instructions: rest for 48 hours, ice, analgesics, return if significant pain, redness, swelling, or fever
