Knee Injection

Steroid injection of the ‍rightleft knee:

- Consent: obtained after discussion on the benefits and risks, including pain, bleeding, infection

- Medication: ‍Depo-MedrolKenalog ‍4080 mg/cc ‍0.250.500.7511.52 cc and normal saline ‍0.250.500.7511.5234 cc

- Procedure: intra-articular injection with ‍suprapatellarlateralmedial approach

- Complications: ‍none, procedure ‍well toleratedfairly well toleratedpoorly toleratedinterrupted

- Instructions: rest for 48 hours, ice, analgesics, return if significant pain, redness, swelling, or fever
